Fazeley’s First Festival and Fun Run

Sunday 16th September 2007

50 runners took part in the fun run that started outside the Town Hall and ended a mile away in the field opposite the Sir Robert Peel Hospital, the venue for the summer fayre.

After taking part in the mile run Fazeley’s Mayor, Cllr Lee Bates, said, “It was great to see so many take part in the run and let’s hope that this is the first of many such events.”

Cllr Bates was joined by 4 fellow Town Councillors; Deputy Mayor Cllr Robert Pritchard, Cllr Danny Cook, Cllr Ian Cooper and Cllr Ben Price.

While the fun run was in progress the Town’s first festival took place with several stalls and rides and was very well attended by the local community.
