New Car Park and MUGA for Mile Oak Recreation Ground

The Mile Oak recreation ground is getting a new car park and MUGA after Fazeley Town Council’s successful application for section 106 funding from Lichfield District Council.

LDC gave the Town Council, who own the recreation area, £60,000 for the project which will see the current uneven car park levelled and tarmaced and the MUGA (multi use games area) moved and have a brand-new hardcore surfaced installed.

The Leader of Fazeley Town Council, Cllr Andrew James, said, “It is great news for all users of the recreation ground to have both a new car park and MUGA and I would like to thank Lichfield District Council for giving the town this money to fund this important project.”

The recreation ground is home to Mile Oak Rovers, Mazeley Youth Club and the Mile Oak Community Centre and also has a children’s play area and a BMX track.
