Town Mayor Lays Wreath to Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of VE Day

Fazeley’s Town Mayor, Cllr Debbie James, laid a wreath at the town’s war memorial on Friday 8th May to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE Day.

The wreath was laid below the names of those Fazeley residents who gave their lives fighting for King and Country during World War II.

After laying the wreath Cllr James said, “It was an honour and privilege to lay the wreath and pay tribute to the men of Fazeley who fought and died to help keep this country free from tyranny.”
