Local agencies, groups and clubs came together to add a bit of Christmas cheer to Fazeley, and invited everyone to a free Christmas Fayre on Saturday 4th December at the Town Hall.
The festive event included crafts, games, face painting, Peel Puppets and stalls, as well as a tombola, lucky dip and a Christmas hamper raffle.
There was also the chance to talk with representatives from lots of local agencies and clubs – including the police, Midland Air Ambulance, Fazeley Pre-school and more.
The special guest of the event was Santa Claus, who the Tamworth Round Table brought on his sleigh and gave out presents.
St Paul’s Church provided mince pies and other festive refreshments and the people of Fazeley had a great day of festive fun.
Fazeley’s Mayor, Councillor Andrew James said: “The event came about because no Christmas Fayre was being held this year and I am proud to say it was a fantastic day with a great turn out, it’s just a pity we could not fix the weather for the day!”
Councillor Helen Fisher, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, added“I am pleased lots of people camealong to the Fazeley Christmas Fayre. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the festive season as a community. A big thank you to all the groups and volunteers who worked hard to put on a great event.”
The Fazeley Christmas Fayre was organised by Fazeley Town Council, Lichfield District Council, Fazeley and District Initiative, HomeZone Living, Mazeley Youth Club, Mile Oak Sea Scouts and local churches.
