Fazeley Festival

Local agencies, groups and volunteers came together to organise a brilliant 2010 Summer Festival, which entertained families from Mile Oak, Fazeley and Bonehill in August.

The fun kicked off at 12 noon with stalls, entertainment, food and fun. Festival highlights include: football fun, circus skills workshops, demonstrations, a surf simulator, inflatables, fun games such as hook a duck and Xbox Band Hero, graffiti caps, DJ workshops, and much more.  Live music and dance also played throughout the day.

The day was organised by a number of local groups and agencies including LDC, Bromford Living, Fazeley Town Council, Mile Oak Sea Scouts, Mazeley Youth Club, St Paul’s and St Barnabas Churches, Fazeley and District Initiative.  We also had funding from LDC, Fazeley Town Council, Staffordshire County Council, Bromford Living and the young people from Mazeley Youth Club were successful in a Youth Bank bid.

It was an excellent day with over 350 local people attending and many local community groups having stalls such as the Mile Oak WI, Mile Oak Sea Scouts, Mazeley Youth Club, Knit and Natter group and the local churches.

The 2011 Summer Festival will take place on Saturday 4th June at Coton Green FC, New Mill Lane Fazeley and the festival will again include a junior football tournament.

The football tournament will start at 10:30 and the doors will open on the main event at noon and will run till 16:30.

Full details of the event, including stalls, will be available soon.
